5. Install the dekeKeys keyboard shortcuts

I cannot get the dekeKeys to load. Not sure if this is a problem on the Adobe InDesign CS4 side, or my copy of the book came with a defective disc. I tried deleting and reinstsalling the folder, and that hasn't worked. The default InDesign shortcuts all seem to work fine. If possible, I'd like to download a "new" dekeKeys file and try that.

Instruction 7

When I double-click on the Windows .kys file, instead of Ps CS4 springing to the foreground (it was running in the background from the previous steps), I get a dialogue box that says my system (Windows Vista) can't open the file and to select a program that will open it.

The only Adobe programs that come up on my list of available (associable) programs are Acrobat and Dreamweaver.

A search of the Internet for .kys fixes brings up some iffy sites I don't trust.

Is there a reliable way I can navigate to the right place in my system (that is, to the Ps CS4 launch file--what is it named, and where is it located?) to do the proper file association for a .kys file (which is somehow not included in the extensive list that Vista shows me under "Start > Default Programs > Associate a file type or protocol with a specific program") and to then include the .kys extension in the directory of possibles? Or can I just rename the file in such a way that Ps CS4 will launch when I double-click on it per the instruction? If so, what file extension is recommended?

never mind previous report. i had inserted object in wrong paragraph, at the end of the very last paragraph on the page. however, i would like to know why the wrapping didn't work when i inserted there instead of the previous paragraph that had the funny marker.

Step 6 at the top of the page

When I finish step 6 and click ok, I get a message that says: "You must choose "Update Chapter & Paragraph Numbers" from the Book panel menu to update chapter numbers.

Consequently when I click OK, the page number will change to 21, but it won't change to small Roman numerals as indicated by the Style selection.

Did I miss an instruction somewhere?
I am on a Vista PC.
Thank you for your help.
