The description of "records management" at this point in the Early Release edition is misleadingly brief; it limits records management to "transactional information" whereas elsewhere (e.g. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Records_management) it is understood that records can take many other forms, e.g. contracts, meeting minutes, emails, basically anything that represents proof of the existence of something that needs to be tracked for some period of time for business or regulatory reasons. |
