Reader suggestions:

* The manual doesn't say nearly enough on what each soldering tip is used for.
* The manual doesn't say anything about what the different kinds of solder are used for, especially since there are hundreds of formulations.
* The manual doesn't say anything about flux in a tin vs flux in the solder wire core.

From a reader: Technique problem? When I melt the solder on the lead, the solder follows the soldering iron and doesn't stay on the board and fill the hole. This also makes it impossible to create a solder bridge. This isn't your problem but it would be nice to know how to fix the issue.

Reader request: The included instruction booklet doesn't have a "when you have problems, do this" kind of section.

Paragraph 1

From a reader: The soldering iron, when the dial is turned to 3 o'clock as the manual directs, is only 220-240C. This seems to be much too cold. The leads never get hot enough to melt the solder.
