Inserted footnote after "don't do this" in item #3 that reads:

In some cases, installation programs write to the WIndows
temporary directory, reboot the system, and then access
the .tmp file. In such cases, this customization will cause
the installation program to fail, usually in subtle ways.
To prevent this, you should remember to comment out the DEL
command in Autoexec.bat before installing any new software.
To "comment out" the DEL command, use a text editor to insert
a Rem statement in front of it.
