Answer should be D On page 10-37, under the Lesson 2 Review heading the last paragraph reads: "Answer C is correct. Enabling Windows Firewall on the host computer is all the administrator needs to do on a network that is already configured and running properly. Answers A and B are incorrect because routers, DSL, and cable modems are not requirements of Windows Firewall.. Answer D is incorrect because Windows Firewall should not be installed on computers that are not directly connected to the Internet." It should read: "Answer D is correct. All computers should have Windows Firewall enabled, even if there is another firewall protecting them from Internet attacks. The reason for this is that many attacks originate from the internal network For example, if one of the user's four computers is a notebook, it might become infected with a work while connected to an unprotected wireless network at a coffee shop. The next time the infected computer connects to the internal network, the worm could spread to the other computers if they do not have a firewall running. A and B are incorrect because routers, DSL, and cable modems are not requirements of Windows Firewall." |
