The errata list is a list of errors and their corrections that were found after the product was released. If the error was corrected in a later version or reprint the date of the correction will be displayed in the column titled "Date Corrected".

The YahooSearch application built throughout the book uses an API that is no longer available.
Note from the Author or Editor:
Unfortunately for the book, Yahoo! no longer operates its search service, which does hinder the YahooSearch example. However, classifying this as a "mistake" is a misnomer, as the example code compiles fine, and it worked when backed by Yahoo's API. Rather, errors occur during runtime because now the Yahoo! service is unavailable. The example is still valid and "transferable" into many reader-specific projects.
Nevertheless, I posted an alternative example on the companion website --a GoogleSearch application in Flex 4. It has some differences such as involving more ActionScript, but if the readers replace the YahooSearch example appearing between 232-238 with the GoogleSearch example I posted online, they should be able to proceed into subsequent examples without too much difficulty.
