Item 1 & 2 under 2nd paragraph

Item 1 says: Go to the Extensions>Module Manager and locate the article you want the module to appear in.

How can you choose articles in the Module Manager?

Item 2 says: ...Choose the module position you will use for displaying inline in an article.

How do you choose the position from the drop-down menu if it doesn't exist? Is there a way of creating a new position in Joomla?

Note from the Author or Editor:
Yes, step 1 is a duplicate and should be ignored/removed.

To create a new position, type a new name in the position field.

2nd paragraph - in two sentences

I couldn't find the object template.xml in the Joomla sample template files - only templateDetails.xml

Note from the Author or Editor:
This is correct. The name of the file should be "templateDetails.xml" instead of "template.xml" so the two mentions referenced on page 229 need to be updated.

Thanks for catching this!

tp=1

This also occurs on page 135, "View All of the Module Positions"

Both page 135 and 366 have this sentence: "For directions on preventing this check from working on your site, refer to Chapter 20."

I've scoured Chapter 20 and I don't see these directions. I'm assuming they would be in the section ".htaccess", but they're not. Am I missing something or were they actually omitted?

Still, thanks for a great book!

Note from the Author or Editor:
Thank you for bringing this to our attention. I accept complete responsibility for this omission.

We made a ?small? structure change in the 11th hour, after the Technical Review process was complete. Originally, this was in a Chapter called ?Tips and Tricks?, but we decided to remove that chapter and disperse the information throughout. As you see, for this tip, the reference got changed, but the actual information got lost in the shuffle.

The following (between the lines) should go on page 328 at the very bottom.
--------------------------------------
Deny access to users using tp=1 to view module positions

As discussed at the end of Chapter 20, you can enter ?tp=1 or &tp=1 at the end of a URL in Joomla to see what module positions are available. You may not want users to be able to do this. To prevent this from happening, add the following code to your .htaccess file just after "RewriteEngine On":

### Block tp=1 Usage ###
RewriteCond %{QUERY_STRING} tp=(.*)
RewriteRule ^(.*)$ index.php [F,L]

After implementing the above code, anyone trying to use tp=1 will get an Access Forbidden type message. I'll be honest, I have never used this on a production site. I do not think of it as a major threat. Some of you may disagree and I am okay with that.
--------------------------------------

Thank you again for bringing this to our attention.

Under Assigning Modules, item #2. Second sentence.

The incorrect word is BOLDED:

Select None to have the MENU hidden.

It should read:

Select None to have the module be hidden.

Menu doesn't make sense in this context and drove me a bit crazy for a few moments. :-)

BG

Note from the Author or Editor:
Absolutely right. There's an assumption that it's a menu module when the sentence really applies to modules of all types. The word "menu" will be changed to "module" in the next revision.

Thank you!

3rd para.

Please add this line before the third para. in Ron's bio: "Ron wishes to thank his lovely wife, Nat?lia, without whose support this book and
many of his other ?adventurous projects? could not have been possible. Milujem ?a." It should be a para. of its own.

Note from the Author or Editor:
The word after "Milujem" should be "ta". It's Slovak and there should be a small accent mark (caron) on the letter T.
