In the kindle version, it refers you to chapter 26 where supposedly deals with the "nitty-gritty of managing changes"... Actually it must refer to Chapter 16.
Note from the Author or Editor: change the chapter 26 referenec to chapter 16

Figure 3-9 |
One of the two predecessors ("assemble pizzas") for milestone task "food and drinks ready" [which was established in Figure 3-5] appears to have disappeared in Figure 3-9 (and in the .mpp file I downloaded from the website).
This results in Project announcing the completion of this milestone one day ahead of when poor Jane is still "assembling pizzas".
Please let Jane and George know so Enrique does not blame them for missing the milestone.
Note from the Author or Editor: The text and figure are OK. I am sending a new PRoject file to put on the missing CD.

Figure 8.6 |
Hi Bonnie,
I am using MSP 2007 Trial SP2 with no disabled items.
I do not see the following items on my Resource Information window, which are shown in Fig. 8-6:
* Booking Type dropdown
* Generic Checkbox
* Inactive Checkbox
Also, In The Graphs window discussed at the bottom of pg. 190 do not see the checkbox: "Include proposed bookings when determining......"
Is there something I need to do to turn these features on ?
Thanks, Joe Gates
Note from the Author or Editor: These features are available in Project Professional. The trial version is probably the Microsoft Project Standard edition.

last paragraph of sidebar |
Last paragraph should read as follows
On the other hand, the Cost Variance field is the Cost field minus the Baseline Cost field, so it’s a positive value when the result is undesirable—the project or task is over budget. Keep in mind, CV applies only to completed tasks, because tasks have earned value only when they’re complete. Cost Variance, on the other hand, shows variance as long as you have a baseline set. (See page 377 to learn how to change the definition of “complete” in Project.)
Main change is removing Actual from before Cost in first sentence. And changing second to last sentence to end in as long as you have a baseline set

To complete performance index bullet |
bullet should be
• To complete performance index (TCPI) is the ratio of the work that remains (expressed in dollars) to remaining available dollars. The formula is:
remaining text for bullet should be
The numerator of the ratio is the remaining baseline cost for the remaining work. The denominator is the remaining available dollars. If TCPI is greater than 1.0, the remaining baseline cost is greater than the remaining dollars, which means you don’t have enough money left to pay for the remaining work. If the baseline cost for the remaining work is less than the available dollars, then you have a surplus.
TCPI for the tiger project is $180,000/$190,000 or .95, another way of saying the project is under budget.
