Errata for Dreamweaver CS4: The Missing Manual

bullet point refers reader to a discussion of creating custom workspaces on p24, but there is no discussion of creating custom workspaces on p24.

"...how to create one of these uber, sitewide external style sheets" Correct version: "...how to create one of these über, sitewide external style sheets" (umlaut on the "u" in "über").

Third sentence in 2nd paragraph (Word Spacing), which starts, "If you want words in a sentence to be spaced apart like this, then type..." The "like this" portion should be spaced apart to illustrate the effect, but the spacing is normal.

It says: "...(on a vertical menu bar the up arrow moves the button to the left, while the down arrow moves the button to the right)." I think it should say "...(on a horizontal menu bar...)."

"Pixels" should be "pixels". The case in the documentation should conform to the actual case in the GUI.

Errors 1, 2, 3, and 4: "Table" should be "Tables" in (a) the first-level subhead, (b & c) paragraph 1, lines 4 and 7, and (d) paragraph 2, line 1. (This particular error is commonly made by several authors elsewhere.) Error 5: "Expanded Tables" should be "Expanded Tables Mode" in paragraph 1, line 7. Error 6: "catory" should be "category" in paragraph 3. (How could this instance elude a spell checker?)

"Theses layout files..." should be "These layout files..."

At the bottom of the second paragraph and the top of the third paragraph under "Setting Up Dreamweaver" the folder to be copied is referred to as "cosmo_store" instead of "cosmo_shop".

Drag the "productName" column from the bindings panel and drop it into the document window, just to the right of of the text "Product to delete". This should read "Record to delete"

Page 949, last sentence of step 4 should end "...just ot the right of the text 'Record to delete'"

Click the empty space just below the name of the product. This should say: Click the empty space just below "Record to delete".

Page 950: Step 5 should read "Click the empty line below where you just added the product name. Choose Insert -> Form -> Form."

In the Property inspector, click the "Browse for File" button. Since we haven't left the Delete Record behavior pictured on page 951, we wouldn't be in the "Property Inspector" #19 should probably say: In the "After deleting go to:" field, click the browse button. In the root folder (cosmo_store), navigate to and select the file index.php. #20 Click ok or choose, then ok.
