The tip box references how non text fields can have text formatting applied and suggests that the answer is later in the chapter, but there is no subsequent mention of how to apply text formatting to date fields. Author's reply: The phrase "as you'll see later in this chapter" might imply that there is a specific instruction set about applying text formatting to other fields, but it certainly doesn't mention date fields. Maybe it would be more clear if we just shortened the tip by removing the "as you'll see later in this chapter" bit.

The figure shows a cropped version of the send mail window, rather than the full screen shot.
