Table 1

In Table 1 (Mac OS 9's Control Panels and their Disposition in Mac OS X), the
following items in the first column should also have the superscripted "a" table
footnote to denote that the panels are not available when running in Classic:

- Energy Saver
- Memory
- Modem
- Multiple Users
- Password Security
- Remote Access
- Trackpad

These should be corrected when the book is reprinted.

last paragraph

Startup key command "T" does NOT boot the machine from an attached firewire disk!
"T" boots the machine in "Target Disk Mode", allowing the machine's internal hard
disk to be mounted on a second machine's desktop as if it is a firewire hard disk.
The second machine can even be booted from the "Target Disk" machine's system!

While booted in "Target Disk Mode", the display shows a moving yellow FireWire logo
on a blue background.

To cancel Target Disk Mode, unmount the machine's hard disk from the second machine
and press the Target Disk machine's power key once and release. The machine will shut
down, and can then be booted normally.

This is an extremely useful feature for support and troubleshooting tasks, and has
been present in Mac models for many years. Prior to FireWire, the same technique
worked with SCSI disks.
