The dash between Intro and Quakes is the difference.

Chapter 22, Figure 22-5 - transimpedance amplifier schematics and description

I think the diode is connected in the wrong direction in the schematic. The anode should be tied to ground to prevent the diode from normally conducting.

The wikipedia article about transimpedance amplifier seems to agree with me (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Transimpedance_amplifier; Fig 1) as does Mr. Mims' book The Circuit Scrapbook, Volume 2 on figure 5-4.
