Errata for Dreamweaver CS5.5: The Missing Manual

2nd line of fifth paragraph: visitor should be plural: visitors

On page 17, the paragraph headed "The Missing CD" tells the reader to go to a site that is not valid (http://missingmanuals.com/cds/dweaver55tmm). The site that is valid is http://missingmanuals.com/cds/dreamweavercs55mm/.

Text says "(circled in figure 1-2)" but it isn't circled.

Figure 1-2, page 23. There should be a circle around the three buttons, "Code," "Split," and "Design" in the top left of the figure.

Minor typo. In text of Figure 1-8, it says that the Context menu icon is circled on the left side of the Files panel. It is really circled on the right side of the Files panel.

There is an unnecessary backslash in "You can \ create other"...

In the second sentence of the second paragraph, "page 61" should be "page 51".

"neadline" should be "headline".

"O\In" should be "In".

In the last sentence of paragraph 3, "follow steps 2 and 3 next; otherwise, skip to step 4." should read "follow steps 4 and 5 next; otherwise, skip to step 6."

"Copyright 2009," should read "Copyright 2011,"

On page 92, numbered list - number 2: "Choose Text [arrow] Check Spelling" should read "Choose Commands [arrow] Check Spelling".

The tip asserts that exporting styles from an internal style sheet to an external one is "described on page 115", but page 115 says nothing about that export operation. Perhaps the reference should be to page 324, which explains how to move styles between two style sheets, including the case in which the source style sheet is internal.

"a page ne way" should be "a page one way".

"externals style sheet" should be "external style sheet".

"lightness in a percentage" should be "lightness is a percentage".

(inside Step 5) 5th line down: ths should be this

"Selected" should be "Select"

on the second line, "ot" should be "to"

the line "..makes the process simply by incorporating..." should likely read, "..makes the process simple by incorporating..."

The line, "(it looks like an open book, circled in Figure 20-4) to reveal the Library category. Minor error: The library items button is not circled in Figure 20-4.

Bottom most icon on the left side of the window should be circled.

The third icon has listed as a hint, "Export set as XML" In CS5.5 it is displayed as, "Export set as HTML"

In Step 7 The line, "The Parameters window opens (see Figure 25-28)." should be, "The Parameters window opens (see Figure 25-4)."

In Step 9, "Figure 25-33" should be "Figure 25-34"

The text is correct -- the image for Figure 25-33, however, is wrong. The image for Figure 25-33 should actually be the image for Figure 25-34

In step 13 on p. 1098 the instructions say to repeat steps 2-5 on p. 1071. The correct pages for steps 2-5 are on 1095-1096.
