Tip: Syncing photos between your iPad and other Apple devices will get a lot easier in the Fall of 2011, when Apple rolls out its iCloud service. Using the service's Photo Stream feature, pics you take or import on one device (or computer) automatically get copied to your iPad, iPhone, or anything else you have connected to iCloud. Apple has details at http://www.apple.com/icloud/features/photo-stream.html. |

Tip: Want an easy way to download all your iTunes Store purchases to all your devices automatically? Install iTunes 10.3 with its iTunes in the Cloud feature and choose Edit (iTunes)>Preferences>Store. In the Automatic Downloads area, turn on the checkboxes next to Music, Apps, and Books. iTunes stores a copy of your purchases, no matter what Apple device you bought them on. Then, when you next sync any device with iTunes, it sends a copy of those purchases to that device. |

Tip: Want to keep your iPad in sync with all your App Store purchases? While you're tromping around in the iPad's Settings area, tap the Store icon on the left side of the screen. Here, you can turn on automatic downloads, which deposit a copy of any music, apps, or books you bought through your iTunes account onto your iPad, no matter whether you originally bought the item on your computer, iPhone, or iPod Touch. |

Tired of plugging your iPad into the computer with a quaint old USB cable to sync, activate, or update your slab? That should be a thing of the past when iOS 5, the next version of the iPad's operating system, arrives in the Fall of 2011.
