Advanced Oracle PL/SQL Programming with Packages Review, August 21 2001
This book is mistitled, and in no way accomplishes its titled purpose.
Steven Feuerstein's Advanced Oracle PL/SQL Programming with Packages book is a complete waste of time for anybody trying to learn how to write PL/SQL packages. If you want an at length tutorial on how to use some of Steven's own packages go ahead. However, if you are interested in developing your own packages, put your well earned money elsewhere. In short, this book is more of an advertisement for Steven's PL/Vision package than anything.
Media reviews
"Steven Feuerstein is one of my all-time heroes. A brilliant coder and eloquent communicator, he has crafted a second masterpiece that not only delivers code you can use today, but also educates, entertains, and provides a foundation for the code you'll write tomorrow." -- Bill Pribyl, Principal Consultant/Trainer of DataCraft Inc. and former Editor-in-Chief of Select Magazine
