Here's a key to the markup: [page-number]: serious technical mistake {page-number}: minor technical mistake : important language/formatting problem (page-number): language change or minor formatting problem ?page-number?: reader question or request for clarification The following are UNCONFIRMED errors and comments from readers: (481) reads: "For example, if the first byte sent was numbered 1 and 2,000 bytes have been successfully received, the Acknowledgment Number would be 2000." It should read: "For example, if the first byte sent was numbered 1 and 2,000 bytes have been successfully received, the Acknowledgment Number would be 2001." (482) Figure C-10 reads: "Acknowlegment Number 2000 Acknowlegment Number 4000" Should read: "Acknowlegment Number 2001 Acknowlegment Number 4001" Note: I believe this information was pulled from "TCP/IP Network Administration" (first edition). The Craig Hunt, author of "TCP/IP...", noted that there were some errors about this in the first edition. He consequently corrected this information for the second edition of "TCP/IP..." and it was never updated it in "Building Internet Firewalls" (See "TCP/IP Network Administration, pg 21)
