--->I checked the PMBOK 4th, in the "project management process &knowledge area Table"(simplified-Chinese version P43), the stakeholder Expectations process is a Excute process, NOT Monitoring&controlling process!

2nd Paragraph

The first paragraph correctly states that:

"The PMBOK(R) Guide breaks every project down into 42 processes . . ."

But the second paragraph goes on to say:

"Forty-four processes might seem like a lot to remember . . ."

It should instead read:

"Forty-two processes might seem like a lot to remember . . ."

Probable cause for confusion:

The PMBOK(R) Guide, 3rd edition identifies 44 processes making up a project, whereas the PMBOK(R) Guide, 4th edition (to which this updated version of _Head First PMP_ refers) identifies only 42.

Answer to 1st Question, 2nd Paragraph

The text says "For example, the Initiating Group only has two processes, and they both show up in the Integration Management knowledge area".

This is incorrect. As per the PMBOK guide 4th edition page 74, out of the 2 processes - 1 shows up in the Integration Management knowledge area while the other one in the Project Communications Management knowledge area.

Note from the Author or Editor:

The C or D answers for question 9 are mislabeled as A & B (so the four available answers are A B A B, not A B C D). Also, I disagree with the answer for question nine on page 385. The question at the end of the lead in is asking "What BEST describes the current state of the project?" It is not asking what is forecasted, which I agree the PM is concerned about, and which TCPI would make sense as an answer. I took this question as looking for "the Best" answer, which to me is the second B answer (normally, this would be the C answer) The project is CURRENTLY on target. Question 14

Question 14. None of these answers are correct.

The question asks for the TCPI to stay within budget - which would mean the original budget of 75000, not the adjusted EAC (which is a re-estimated budget based on slippage)

the answer which is provided on page 692 incorrectly uses EAC in both the numerator and denominator, in contradiction to the formulae on page 369.

In order to meet the original budget - you need to use the BAC formula of (BAC-EV)/(BAC-AC) = 22500/19000 = 1.1842.

Note from the Author or Editor:
On page 677 question 14, change answer B to 1.18
