Under the Hack #7: Control User Logins...

DontDisplayLastUserName is not located under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon (true for Windows NT, not 2K/XP)

It is located under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\policies\system

It is a DWORD value not String.

There isn't actually an explanation of how/where to input the query!

Micrrosoft help says
To open Indexing Service
Open Computer Management (Local).
In the console tree, double-click Services and Applications.
Double-click Indexing Service.

and

To open the Indexing Service query form
Open Computer Management.
In the console tree, under the appropriate catalog, click Query the Catalog.
Where?

The query form appears in the details pane.

To really get it, you need to have the two-pane view of Indexing Service, the
"console tree"  -- It's less than obvious. Since page 98 provides very clear
instructions on turning the Indexing Service on, an equally clear description of
finding the query tool would have been nice.

If the 'copy to' and 'move to' hacks are implemented on a system using a Microsoft
Multimedia Keyboard this prevents the correct re-assignment of certain keys on the
keyboard (i.e. the Media key)to access URL's from the keyboard.

The pages 363 to 426 seems to be missing in my copy of the book!
It is the second edition of the book. If it is some help the ISBN # is 0-596-00918-6
