Installing the BlueZ Utilities

As of version 2.7, the BlueZ project has merged bluez-pan and
bluez-sdp into bluez-utils. The bluez-libs package now contains
the libsdp library, which used to be part of bluez-sdp.

Printing over Bluetooth

The CUPS driver is now part of the bluez-utils package, as of version
2.7. It can be configured by giving the --with-cups option to the
configure script when compiling bluez-utils. If you run Debian
Unstable, it is available from the bluez-cups package.

Connecting input devices

Input devices are now catered for in the mainstream release of
bluez-utils, since version 2.7, via the 'hidd' daemon. This requires a
patch to be applied to the kernel, though, which can be downloaded from
http://www.bluez.org/.

Run the HID server as root:

# hidd --server

Then connection to your input device

# hidd --connect AA:BB:CC:DD:EE:FF

Change AA:BB:CC:DD:EE:FF for the Bluetooth address of your keyboard or
mouse.
