Changes and corrections to the 3rd printing (February 2002)


(P. 3):  10.2 News (Internationalization).  "10.2 adds 8 new system language
localizations and new input keyboards for Arabic, Hebrew, Persian, Devanagari,
Gujarati, Gurmurkhi, Irish, Croatian, Greek, Hawaiian, Icelandic,
Romanian, Slovenian, Thai, and Turkish.  Also anyone can now make their own keyboard
for any language or layout by editing a text file."

(P. 233):  Omit last sentence in text.  Reason: You can't choose a different script.
The script is determined by the language.  the Script panel is used to set different
behaviors (sort order, case conversion, etc) which may exist for a given script,
especially Roman, depending on the language you are using it with (as is correctly
indicated in the P. 234 section on French).

[563]  5th paragraph;
it's not your error but apple's: it seems that the feature that  automatically added
an address book photo to email messages for some reason doesnt work in jaguar. you
describe it well but it apparantly only worked in 10.1 (there's lots of complaints
about this in apple's discussion boards and nothing but silence on the part of the
apple moderators)
