Figure 1-4 caption should read:

1st paragraph

The sentence beginning ‘In English’, appears to introduce a clause, ‘this means that simple…’ but the sentence isn’t completed. Perhaps remove ‘that’.

In English, this means that simple subject-predicate sentences, or verb-object imperative directions such as "The bus accepts correct change and transit passes" and "Add money to your transit pass."

Should be changed to:
In English, this means that simple subject-predicate sentences, or verb-object imperative directions such as "The bus accepts correct change and transit passes" and "Add money to your transit pass" tend to work best.

paragraph about `apee

Within the paragraph figure 3-9 in chapter 3 is referenced. But the last figure in that chapter is 3-6 on page 44.

Note from the Author or Editor:
In the final paragraph on page 26, it references 'appee's rules figure as (Chapter 3, Figure 3-9). It should have referenced Chapter 4, Figure 4-9, instead.

Chapter 4, Header "Descriptions", 4th paragraph

On this page, it says "will rapidly scan lines up to about 40 characters wide".

In chapter 6 under the Headline "Concise", on page 122 on an iPad, it says "the text that has tested well, in my experience, has been three or fewer lines long and no more than 50 characters wide.

Note from the Author or Editor:
Chapter 4, header "Descriptions," 4th paragraph, "will rapidly scan lines up to about 40 characters wide" should be changed to "will rapidly scan lines up to about 50 characters wide"
