The shortened IPv6 address is missing a colon; 2001:db8:42:1:1 should be 2001:db8:42:1::1.
2001:db8:42:1:1 cannot be expanded. It is a fully expanded Ipv6 address.
2001:db8:42:1::1 can expand to 2001:0db8:0042:0001:0000:0000:0000:0001

This error is present in both printed book and pdf. Page 23 is based on the printed book.
