Fig 7-6
Fig 7-6

The calculation described in figure 7-6 does not seem to compute correctly for rows B and C.

I believe row B should add up like this:

(2+1+0)/2= 1.5
Raw = 1.5
1.5 x 90% = 1.35
Score = 1.35

and row C should add up like this.

(1+2-1)/1= 2
Raw = 2
2 x 40% = 0.8
Score = 0.8

For row B in SafariBooks RAW = 0.5 and SCORE = 0.45

For row C in SafariBooks RAW = 1 and SCORE = 0.4

Note from the Author or Editor:
The table should be redone with the math as described by the submitter. However, this will cause Feature B to have the highest score and so all of the rows need to be re-thought. I will provide a new table.

The 5th bullet on the page reads:
"What is he likelihood..."

3rd paragraph

There is no end-quote for the quote in the paragraph that starts like this:

Some participants in roadmapping workshops have said "I can make these numbers look however I want.

There should be a quotation mark at the end of that sentence to close the quote.

Note from the Author or Editor:
This is an error and should be corrected as described. Please add close quotes after the word "want."

2nd and 3rd line

This relates to the first release of the book, so apologies if this has already been corrected in later editions.

It seems to me to be an error of judgement to include the quote "Everyone has a plan' till they get punched in the mouth" from Mike Tyson, a convicted rapist.

How about this one from Barak Obama (unverified) instead:
I don't care whether you're driving a hybrid or an SUV. If you're headed for a cliff, you have to change direction.

Note from the Author or Editor:
Thanks for this input. Upon reflection, we agree with your feedback about the quote. The proposed quote doesn't have the same meaning, however, so we plan to update as follows:

No plan survives first contact with the enemy
Attributed to Prussian Field Marshal Helmuth von Moltke the Elder

Within the table

I believe the 4th line from the bottom should be marked as '-" in the last column (score) of the table. Do you have specific features, solutions, fixes, or other deliverables on your roadmap? (Chapter 6) is in the 'avoid overpromising' row, whose score should be subtracted from the total.

Note from the Author or Editor:
This is an error should be corrected as described. "the 4th line from the bottom should be marked as '-" in the last column (score) of the table. Do you have specific features, solutions, fixes, or other deliverables on your roadmap?"

2nd bullet under What you'll learn in this chapter

In the electronic versions only, on the first page of Chapter 8, there are 3 bullets under the heading "what you'll learn in this chapter. The second bullet reads "How shuttle diplAchieving Alignment and Buy-in omacy can help you obtain input and buy-in" It should read "How shuttle diplomacy can help you obtain input and buy-in"

The print version does not have this error. I have found it in Kindle and in the version that iBooks opened on my Mac (ePub?).
