First centered line of figure 5-9 |
First centered line of figure 5-9, page 107, reads:
"Data center IPv4 Allocation: 2001:db8:cafe::/48".
It should read:
"Data center IPv6 Allocation: 2001:db8:cafe::/48".
This is inferred from both the caption "IPv6 best-fit example" and the IPv6 prefix shown.
Note from the Author or Editor: First line of figure 5-9 reads:
"Data center IPv4 Allocation: 2001:db8:cafe::/48"
It should read:
"Data center IPv6 Allocation: 2001:db8:cafe::/48"

First column, second row in Table 5-1 |
In the first column and second row of Table 5-1, the IPv6 prefix has only one colon preceding the prefix length of /56 instead of having two preceding colons. For example, it currently reads:
2001:db8:2112:0000:/56
But it should read:
2001:db8:2112:0000::/56

Within the graphic labeled "Figure 5-12. Sparse allocation of /56 subnets" |
All the IPv6 subnets within the graphic currently have a "/52" prefix length with one preceding colon. But they should have instead a "/56" prefix length and two preceding colons. For example, the graphic currently displays the following IPv6 prefixes starting at the top of the circle:
2001:db8:2112:0:/52
2001:db8:2112:1000:/52
2001:db8:2112:2000:/52
2001:db8:2112:4000:/52
2001:db8:2112:6000:/52

2001:db8:2112:9000:/52
2001:db8:2112:a000:/52
2001:db8:2112:c000:/52
2001:db8:2112:e000:/52
But these should read as follows:
2001:db8:2112:0::/56
2001:db8:2112:1000::/56
2001:db8:2112:2000::/56

2001:db8:2112:9000::/56
2001:db8:2112:a000::/56
2001:db8:2112:c000::/56
