In the second figure, the beginning index of the sequence should be 1 instead of 0. And the range [2, 5] should cover the sequence "TTAC".

According to "https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Phred_quality_score", the probability is logarithmically related to the Phred Quality Score for a base calling error. So shouldn't the sentence in the paragraph be:

"we can apply the following formula to convert quality scores to the estimated probability the base is incorrect:"?

The bibliography is not sorted (in an obvious way, at least). This makes searching for a reference from the text tedious. Please consider sorting the entries alphabetically according to the last name of the first author.
