In part one "The OSX Desktop", section 1 "Folders & Windows", under "Minimize Button", the first bullet under "?And now, some Minimize button micro-goodies:?, paragraph 1 states: "?The entire title bar becomes a giant Minimize button when you double-click anywhere on it. (That?s an option in the General panel of System Preferences, described in Chapter?9.)? The option to control this behaviour is actually found in the "Dock" panel, not the "General" panel. |

The section states, "Note: If you have a non-Apple mouse that has a scroll wheel, then the Mouse preference pane doesn?t offer this scroll-direction option." - I have OS X 10.9.1 and a non-Apple mouse: the Mouse preference pane does offer the scroll-direction option. |

116 Power Users' Clinic |
The "Power Users' Clinic: The Fine Points of the Column-View Triangle" is completely outdated as the behavior here explained is not longer present in Mavericks. The screen shot is also from a previous OS since items in column view are not highlighted in the same manner as show in the book. |

Apple uses the ^ symbol to designate the Control Key, but this is not clear from their online documentation. In your book, the key is identified as Control Key, but the the ^ symbol is not explained or eve mentioned. I had some trouble to find out what is what and I suggest that you alter your documentation. Note from the Author or Editor: |

The last sentence of the second paragraph, which is in parenthesis, is printed as, "(In Mavericks, it no longer animates--and". So, the sentence ends abruptly and we don't know what the author is trying to say about an operation of Time Machine. |

Your system for creating a Homemade Installer Disk does not work, at least not if you're running OS X 10.9.1. Instead of dragging the "InstallESD.dmg" disk image from Shared Support to Disk Utility, you need to access an invisible file via Terminal called "BaseSystem.dmg" and drag that instead. A clear explanation for doing so can be found here: http://www.macworld.co.uk/how-to/mac/create-mac-flash-recovery-drive-for-emergencies-3499802/ Note from the Author or Editor: |

The outline view in PDF appears to be mangled. The top level title is "Maverick colors line Malloy.pdf," which appears strange. All of the chapters and subsections are listed, but there is no hierarchy. There is just one scrolling list. Other books typically collapse the subchapter titles with a button to reveal the details. |
